Viktor Slavov

A true full-circle success story of dedication, growth, and giving back.

A woman and a man standing together, smiling and holding a gavel. The woman has blonde hair and is wearing a floral dress with pearl jewelry. The man has a goatee and is wearing a colorful Hawaiian shirt. They are in front of tropical-themed posters, including one for Dr. Jose Sanchez Lions Eye Clinic.

Outgoing President Judge Peary Fowler passes the gavel to newly-elected Board President Viktor Slavov (2023)

Two men sitting at a table, reading and discussing a book, with shelves filled with books and office supplies behind them.

What a gratifying story! Viktor Slavov came to Key West in 1997, and began at LVA as a student in 1998 to improve his English language skills. After progressing successfully through the curriculum, Viktor decided to give back to the community, and became an LVA volunteer tutor to many students over the last many years. His involvement with the organization led him to join our Board of Directors, and in 2023 Viktor was elected to become our Board President!

A great role model for success to other students of English here in the Keys, seeking to enrich their lives and more fully participate in the community.
